I initially tried to go for a melody that I can only describe as "ethereal"; a lighthearted, joyful melody with a little bit of sadness. What I ended up with unfortunately wasn't exactly that. I managed to have the melody give off a sad vibe for the first few seconds but in trying to make the piece more interesting, the sad feeling was lost and replaced by more hopeful feelings as the track went on. By the midpoint I transitioned into a different melody. I tried to make the transition smooth but ultimately, trying to put two different melodies may not be a good idea. It’s difficult to describe the feeling I got for the second part. The best I could say is that it also gives a hopeful vibe.
